Intro to Business and Technology - Week of 1/27/2020

Students will begin the Digital Citizenship  Unit.

• Students will be introduced to the vocabulary for this chapter using a graphic organizer.
• Students will learn about personal and private information.
• Students will learn how to be safe and secure while online using emails, websites and social media.
• Students will learn how to create strong passwords.
• Students will learn what is considered bullying.
• Students will have a vocabulary and content test on Friday.

Legal Environment of Business - Week of 1/27/2020

Students will begin the Ethics vs Law Unit

• Students will be introduced to the vocabulary for this chapter using a graphic organizer.
• Students will learn the difference between ethics and law.
• Students will learn the 5 major sources of law.
• Student will learn about Common Law.
• Differentiate among crimes, torts, contracts, and specific statutory/regulatory schemes such as bankruptcy, intellectual property, consumer protection, environmental, and employment and labor law.
• Identify the personal and business consequences of unethical and illegal conduct
• Students will have a vocabulary and content test on Friday.

Entrepreneurship - Week of 1/27/2020

Students will begin learning the characteristics of a good entrepreneur.

• Students will be introduced to the vocabulary for this chapter using a graphic organizer.
• Students will take an Entrepreneur Aptitude Test
• Students will complete a project called, "Is Entrepreneurship Right for Me?"
• Students will complete the Famous Entrepreneur Project.
• Students will have a vocabulary and content test on Friday.
