Happy New Year! I look forward to this first week back. Please see the week in review. Students will need to pull up their schedules online, no paper copy will be provided. Students will receive a copy of their transcripts for teacher to view. Please make sure you provide to each teacher the first week. Course extension will take place from 1/8/2020 to 1/10/2020, $10 sitting fee.

1/6/2020 – 1/10/2020

·      Teacher and student Introduction

·      Review of Classroom Norms

·      Review emergency drills (fire drill, tornado and hurricane drill, codes: red, blue, green and yellow)

·      Students will set up folders on student drive.

·      Students will create Schoology accounts and learn how to use.

·      Students will create remind accounts and review how to use.

·      Teacher will review and provide copies of syllabus to include: standards, pacing guide, norms, academic expectations, proper use of technology and grading.

·      Students will create a vision board for first project grade.

·      Students will type an essay (one page) using word about classroom norms, syllabus and emergency drills or about their vision board for their first classwork grade.

·      Students will be tested on the classroom norms, emergency drills and syllabus for their first quiz grade.

Students will need the following supplies daily:

·      Pen and pencil

·      3 Ring binder or folder with paper

·      Flash drive (2 GB)

·      Hand size tissue and  hand sanitizer

·      Earbuds not Headphones to watch tutorials for classwork ONLY

Please make sure your son/daughter understand there is NO listening to music, NO playing video games and NO watching movies during class. Students are expected to work bell to bell in order to complete all work in a timely manner and avoid daily points off for late work.
